Voting at 16
Lowing the voting age to 16
Why we should lower the age to 16
- Research shows that 16 -17 year olds know just as much about politices as older voters
- Two cities in Maryland have already tested 16 year olds voting and it was fine
- 78% if people think that 16 is a good age to vote the other 28% disagreed
- Lowering the age to 16 will let teens vote from there home town
- Seven countries already let 16 year olds vote
- The youth have a different opinion then older people and they'll never have that again
- It would get 16 year olds more into voting
- They should have a voice and be heard
I personally think that 16 year olds should vote, I think that because they do have a different opinion. I also think that there opinion should be heard, and if they can vote they'll be heard. If they're able to drive and quite school that should be allowed to vote. Lastly, if the young can vote maybe the politics will focus more on education, like lowering the cost of college.
